Teacher Training
Our foundational training program is designed to build a sustainable, highly qualified pipeline of early childhood Mandarin educators across Southern California. Through NDIME’s structured training pathways, educators receive comprehensive instruction in bilingual pedagogy and early childhood immersion teaching
This Program Includes:
MOE × NDIME Joint Teacher Training Workshops (online & in-person) featuring topics such as Mandarin pedagogy, bilingual development, curriculum design, parent communication, and cultural instruction. (1-3 sessions per year)
Summer Intensive Teacher Training Camp (160 hours)
Classroom language, early childhood language development, immersion strategies, parent-teacher communication.
Taiwanese professors conduct international teaching and jointly develop teaching materials.
NDIME Early Childhood Chinese Language Teacher Certification Program (40–160 hours).
Our curriculum program provides age-appropriate thematic Mandarin immersion materials, a cloud-based teaching resource library, and a 0–8 Mandarin proficiency index developed with our partners in Taiwan.
This Program Covers:
Thematic immersive courses (family, community, culture, science, art, etc.)
Cloud-based teaching material library (lesson plans, classroom language, videos, songs, cultural materials)
Taiwanese teachers and NDIME jointly developed and established a Chinese language proficiency index for children aged 0-8.
Our demonstration classrooms provide hands-on internship opportunities for teachers to observe, practice, and refine Mandarin immersion strategies, supported by a cloud-based teaching material library with AI-enabled tools for resource sharing and feedback.
This Program Features:
Seeking internship opportunities where teachers can observe classes, practice teaching, learn, and solve problems that may arise in the classroom (Classroom Management & Immersion Strategies).
Establish a cloud-based teaching material library for preschool Chinese (lesson plans, classroom language, videos, songs, and cultural materials).
AI-based systematic cloud-based teaching material library usage, sharing, and feedback.
Our cultural engagement programs ensure that Mandarin language and Chinese culture become visible, accessible, and celebrated throughout the community. Through annual events and local partnerships, NDIME connects families, educators, and community leaders through meaningful cultural experiences.
This Program Includes:
Language & Culture Day
Parent-child cultural activities
Collaborate with cities to conduct public performances (such as the Camellia Parade).
Promoting Chinese language and culture into mainstream communities.
